Maxomorra FAQs

Maxomorra Products

Where can I buy your clothing?

At Maxomorra, we don’t have our own stores but, instead, we work with the loveliest retailers from all over the world to bring our clothing to you! You can just browse through our store finder or use our product finder to find a list of all the stores that stock your wished item.

What’s your sizing like?

You can find our sizing chart here. Generally speaking, our sizing is considered quite generous and our clothes can be worn and last for a long time due to our quality and design.

How can I request a print or style?

We always have an open ear and keep a little box of requests! Just drop us a message on Instagram or Facebook and we’ll make a note of it!

I’m unhappy with my Maxomorra clothing, what can I do?

Oh no, we are so sorry to hear about that! Please get in touch with the store you bought it from and explain what exactly you are unhappy about. They will be able to sort you out and help you with any questions you might have.

I just received my new Maxomorra clothing! Anything I need to keep in mind?

How exciting! We always recommend to pre-wash our clothing before any use in order to keep all the colours happy and bright. Sometimes, certain colours can be a little more prone to bleeding when water is spilled on unwashed clothing. However, there’s absolutely no need to worry as all of our dyes are fully GOTS-approved so there is not a single trace of nasties or harsh chemicals to be found. To prevent any bleeding from happening, simply pop your garment in your washing machine at 40°C and wash with similar colours. After that, your Maxomorra item should be fully bleed-proof and ready to be enjoyed for a long time to come!

How big are your craft kits?

All of our craft kits are 145 x 145 cm (57” x 57”) squares of original Maxomorra GOTS-certified fabric made from organic cotton and printed using our non-toxic colours and dyes. For more information on our craft kits, have a look here.

How big are your cushion covers?

Yay to matching cushion covers! All of our sustainable Maxomorra cushion covers are 50cm x 50cm.

Can I buy your clothing in the US/Canada?

Unfortunately, we do not offer our clothing to customers in the US and Canada anymore. We know, we know! Frankly, we are just as disappointed as you are! It is a very big obstacle for us to keep track of all the different country-specific product safety regulations and labelling demand. Therefore, we have decided to offer our products to fewer selected markets, which sadly does not include the American and Canadian markets. We do keep our fingers crossed that, one day, we will find our way back to yours!

I'm a maker. Can I sell my creations using your fabric?

How lovely you would like to use our fabric for your creations! In order for you to use our craft kits commercially, we have one criteria that we ask you to respect. Your creation should not be comparable to any product in our own product range. Next to our clothing, this also includes our Maxomorra Goodies (tote bags, coin purses, bandanas, pencil cases, scrunchies). We have introduced our craft kits first and foremost for personal use and to encourage creative family projects. If you are in doubt whether or not you can sell your item, please get in touch with us!

Sustainability

I’ve heard you’re GOTS certified. What does that mean?

Glad you’re asking about this! In case you're new to the whole sustainability thing, GOTS is short for Global Organic Textile Standard and pretty much the highest all-around sustainable fashion standard there is. In order to receive a GOTS certificate, every single step in your whole supply chain, from sourcing your materials to production to all the processes in your warehouse, has to meet certain social and ecological criteria. The certificate has to be renewed every single year with requirements becoming increasingly stricter as time moves on. Back in 2012, we were amongst the first 5 fashion brands and first-ever childrenswear brand in Sweden to receive this certification and we were awarded our 9th GOTS certificate in a row in January 2021. You can read more about our sustainable practices here and visit the GOTS Website for more information.

Who made your clothes?

All of our clothing is ethically made in our Maxomorra Factory in India. We have been working with CMV Global Clothings since the very start of our brand. As a GOTS certified and sustainable brand, we care a lot about our factory workers and make sure to provide a fair and decent work environment that everyone feels proud to be part of. You can have a look on our website here for more information and some fun facts and also feel free to visit the website of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) to read about all the minimum social criteria we keep to.

Social Media

How can I be featured on your Instagram?

We love to see all your beautiful photos! We are dedicating our #maxomorramonday to showcase all of your lovely captures on our Instagram stories every Monday. Simply share a Maxomorra photo in your stories and tag @maxomorraworld or tag us in a photo in your feed and use the hashtag #maxomorramonday or #maxomorramoment.

How can I become a Maxomorra Brand Rep?

Glad you’re asking! We are looking for new brand reps twice a year through Instagram. To apply, you’ll have to make sure that your child is wearing the sizes we have put out, that you are based in the EU or UK and that your Instagram account is public.

I’m an influencer, can we collab?

That’s wonderful! We are occasionally open for collabs if we feel that both of our brands and values are aligned. You can drop us a message on Instagram to find out!
