Have you ever wondered what is really behind those “made in India” labels you can find on our clothing? Well, you’ve come to the right place to find out! All of our clothing is supplied by CMV Global Clothings in India, who we’ve worked with since the very start of Maxomorra. In fact, you could say the both us are twins since we’ve both been founded in 2008 and have been on our journey together ever since. As you might have guessed, this means our factory means family to us! And since we want every single one in our Maxomorra Family to be happy, we make sure to provide a fair and decent work environment that everyone feels proud of. Everything we do meets the minimum social criteria of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), which you can read more about here.
here are some quick facts for you:
Our factory has 300 employed workers, around 80% of whom are women.
We are visiting our factory family every single year.
All of our workers are paid living wages opposed to minimum wages. This means we ensure they earn enough money to live off, care for their family and have some savings. You can find out more about living wages here.
We are producing and using our own 100% clean and renewable energy! In 2019, we’ve installed solar panels at our factory as another step to becoming carbon neutral.
